<p>The point of a pledge thread is just that. People who do not get in are less likely to post their results and stats. Thus, it appears that that CC has an extremely high acceptance rate. When people pledge to report their decisions, as long as they follow through, more realistic observations can be made about the acceptance rate on CC. You get a complete sampling of acceptances, waitlists, and rejections.</p>
<p>I would imagine that most people look at the threads to see reasons why people get in, not necessarily for the statistics. </p>
<p>Besides decisions for students are so subjective these days that stats on CC/ chance me threads are very inaccurate</p>
