topic:is it important to question the ideas and decisions of people in position of authority?
my essay:
Although the people in charge are to be respected, but in order to achieve a prosperous society, questioning the ideas of our principals at some points is as vital as,if not more than paying them some respect
As far as I’m concerned, many people speculate that those in position of authority cant make any mistakes and are to be followed without questioning,Little do this type of people know that not only questioning those with power can put an end to wrong decisions but also it can help them do better in the future. As human beings,we’re all fallible inasmuch as never has a human being been created without having some flaws, and our principles aren’t an exception to this saying
There are many situations in which those in charge have been wrong. For instance,in the days of yore,Galileo, the famous italian astronomer, stated the fact that the Earth circles the sun instead of the other way around, and by doing so he got confined in his house. Also,Nelson Mandela, the south African activist, got arrested by the authority for opening the first south African law firm.Or when Adolf Hitler, one of the authorities of Germany, cause the second world war by attacking Poland.
In all of the situations above by questioning those in power, people could have prevented their governors from making those decisions
Deduced from the writing above,we could say that questioning the decisions of authority is vital, and by not doing so,the so-called would make decisions which might have terrible consequences
I know it doesnt seem very long here but it is almost two full pages on the paper
