So, I know it is quite late to be asking this, but is it even possible to apply for both Engineering (biomedical) and PLME?

Why not? 10char

I think it is possible to apply for both, but if (by some amazing and spectacular miracle) I get into PLME, I’m not sure if engineering fits the whole “liberal” part of PLME. I saw there was a post about this last year, but I couldn’t find a definitive answer.

Would applying as engineering hurt my chances for PLME?

Applying as an engineer won’t hurt your PLME chances at all. I know quite a few PLME engineers who are doing just fine and loving both programs. The “liberal” part of PLME doesn’t mean that you can’t take math/science related classes! It just means that you’re able to receive a liberal arts education if you so choose.
