PLME chance?

Hi, I know everyone asks this question, but I just really wanted to know other people’s opinion on my chance (if any) for PLME/Brown in general.

GPA: 9th grade: unweighted 3.8 (4.0 scale)
10th grade: unweighted 3.8
11th grade: unweighted 3.8 weighted 3.87 (weighted 4.5 scale)

SAT II: Math II 790, Bio-M 740, Bio-E 760, Chem 770 (Retook Bio-E and Chem on October)

ACT: English 32, Math 34, Reading 34, Science 36, Writing 7, Composite 34

AP: AP US History 5, AP Calc AB 5, currently taking AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Calc BC, AP Lit.

EC: Editor-in-Chief of school literary magazine, editor of school yearbook, 2nd string clarinet in the school orchestra and clarinet ensemble, tour guide, Cum Laude Society

Volunteer: community service at a hospital (helping patients), went to Mongolia for medical community service trip for 1 week

Research: internship in a lab (generated antibodies by using phage display technique)

National Merit Scholarship semifinalist

Applying ED to Brown and PLME (still applying ED for Brown even if rejected in PLME)

It’s impossible to predict chance for PLME, as there are so many qualified students that many very qualified students will get turned down. I think there is a good chance that you may make the cut to be put into the consideration for PLME sub group. Some of that will depend on the tihings you haven’t said, or can’t really know, like how your recs will “read”. I hope one of them can be from your internship supervising MD or PhD and that they know you well. Also your GPA doesn’t tell us how you rank, how competitive your school is. Anyway, best of luck!
