PLME essays?

Definitly single space.

I was accepted plme ed and my 1st essay was 2,000 words and my 2nd was 500 words...so just as long as you don't bore them it's all good. They're obviously not counting. The length doesn't matter too much...it's about the content.

Ha, I wasn't sure whether to single space or double space when I wrote mine, either. In the end I just went with 1.5. But it really doesn't matter, as long as your content's engaging.

Thanks everyone :)

Well, I was leaning towards 1.5 spacing (double is way too much) because it's easier to read.

All right, single spacing it is!

So what kinds of topics did everyone talk about in these essays? I told the "truth," if you will, about why I want to go into medicine, why PLME is the best for me, etc., but I don't feel like they're that unique or that catchy. Ah well, too late now.

So its definitely 500 words each???

well seeing how one person got in with a 2000 word essay, i really don't see what there is to worry about anymore...

i just can't cut down my first essay...so i'm going to try to keep it around one page single-spaced (~620 words) :</p>

Oops, I double-spaced mine.

Hey, are there any PLME admits that are willing to let me read an essay or so? I'm really curious about what it takes to get accepted. Thanks in advance!

Take a look at this. Guy who got in PLME, but didn't go.

I did 500 words per essay (2 essays for PLME) and double spaced them. I got in, so I think that's right.

Good luck to all RD applicants! :)

After looking at those, I don't think mine were as interesting or catchy. :(
Oh well.

Thanks for the find, Shwincity117!

Haha, I hope I get into Brown with my essays. The 1st essay, I talked about how I wanted to steer away from the Filipino stereotype of becoming a nurse but I still had an interest in medicine, so I chose to become a doctor. The 2nd essay, I talked about genetics and humanities. I wasn't crazy about the second essay, haha.

Haha no problem .serendipity
