others:
Imma immigrant first of all hahahahaha (came to US two years ago), and I lived in several countries and so I can speak different languages other than english and my mother tongue...
I dun hv permanent residency yet lol I'll hv to apply as an international...

chance me pleasee.

oh and I'm looking forward to majoring in some type of engineering lol

the 2 in Statistics is going to stand out on your application...

if you are female and are interested in engineering, then you have good chances of getting in

Don't report your 2 score. That's a great way to guarantee that your study habits will be looked upon unfavorably (especially if you got a good grade in the class...then they will just think that the class is easy.)

If I were you I would actually cancel AP scores that don't pass (i.e. below 3) but it doesn't really matter since you don't have to send all of your scores to colleges - you can cherrypick.

Your scores look good. If you apply as an international that will be a slight plus (as less of a pool, so you stand out more.) The fact that you are a girl and interested in engineering will also help a little.

NJ only has a 2% acceptance rate since so many people apply there, but your international status could well be an app-saver for you as you may not be considered in that group really.

Obviously your grades and distinctions are all nice, but when you list them only put a page CV max apart from awards...also, make sure you only list highlights. Admissions officers will see through padding (so I would only list your top 10 from the list you gave.)

I can't say more because your essays and how you present yourself is a big unknown that has as much influence as the info you've provided so far...good luck!

the problem is...i usd the free score report when i was taking the AP test and I chose princeton u, thinking that I will do very well on the tests. so precisely... that 2 went in. LOL.

you'll probably get rejected bc of your name...

you dont have to send in your AP scores

Your scores are okay, but you have amazing EC's, so I think your chances are pretty good. good luck!

and what's wrong with your name? (referring to two comments above)

pikachu = asian?, so maybe 1MX was making a joke about how hard it is for asians to get in

hahaha, everyone's a little bit racist (Avenue Q if you didn't see it)

observant ivyboy. pikachu is an extremely average asian-looking applicant.

somebody seems to be a little jealous over here... nice one haha
but why do you even bother being around a princeton thread 1mx? lol
i thought ivy league wouldnt appreaciate some bitter racists like you

pikachu, your EC looks very wonderful, but considering you're an asian from NJ I might consider taking that SAT physics again and boosting it up a little if I were you. and yeah definitely raise your SAT to 2350+ if you wish.

other than that...you've got a great shot for princeton engineering.
good luck! :)

I'm not jealous, nor do I have reason to be. My stats are superior to this. He asked for a chance, and I gave him the honest opinion that asians from NJ or NY are the most stereotypical applicant. It is extremely hard for them to distinguish themselves, and even higher scores are not the way to go.

Besides, keep in mind that he is applying as an international student. Yes, he would be competitive as an American student. But with the unbelievable stats needed to be accepted as an international; I just don't see it happening.

It's a SHE if you read her ec's. Also, I'm just wondering, what's your fascination with Asians seeing as how you're not one yourself?

uhm, okay whatever, just calm down 1mx. lol I'm sorry but I'm not too much interested in your conceitedness or your so-called 'supriority' at all, and I never said you're not as competitive as whoever this pikachu 'girl' is. -nor is there a reason to hurt whoever started this thread by saying something as cruel as what you said in the previous comment. don't you understand? that racist comment just proves how rubbish you are as a person. maybe you should go back to preschool and learn some manners before you apply to any colleges at all, especially if you wanna go to an ivyleague school chuckles

Are you sending sparks flying everywhere, pikachu? You better keep those red cheeks under control. :)

1MX, please do not go putting down the "stereotypical Asians" around this forum. It's very trollish, and I notice that the ones you like to target most are those who have stats that compete with your "superior stats."

Hehe, forgot this was a chance thread! Um, from what I've been picking up from reading Chance threads, your status as an international is going to trouble you greatly. Good luck to you!

I'm not racist by any means. I have quite a few asian friends, they're some of the most intelligent people that I know. My problem comes with this: I am a die-hard american and can not stand that the US allows asians to come to the United States, study here, and then go back to their native countries and exploit cheap labor pools at the expense of American jobs. It' no wonder many kids parents at my school are laid off as a result of out-sourcing. Michigan has the 2nd worst economy in the states thanks to us not being able to compete with the horrendous working conditions of many asian or truly any other country that exploits the poor. The biggest problem is that politicians don't want to step up and do anything about it because it might hurt someone's feels and they'd lose votes. You can call me a racist, but I'd say that I am an American industrialist very much concerned with the future of our nation. China pretty much owns the United States right now. (We are almost completely reliant on them for trade and they own most of our govt's bonds.) If you don't see a problem with that, then I don't know what to tell you.

I'm not going to comment on racism because I never called you racist and I don't like to call other people racist because it's a very loose term. However, that statement was very angry and blanketing. Do you think pikachu is like that? Do you think most internationals are like that?
