SDSU: High Match
SLO/UCI/UCSB: Low Reach
UCSD: Reach
GPA is competitive/SAT is low for the UC’s and SLO.
SAT will really hurt. A lot of the UC schools just use a formula, and standardized testing is a big part of it.
Hard to really give an accurate estimate without some info on extracurriculars.
@Gumbymom Got accepted to Sac State and Sonoma asking to complete additional form due to impaction in Kinesiology major. Your right so far. Really wanting SDSU (My 1st choice). Don’t think I can get into any UC though. Wanted Irvine but like UCSD too.
Only reason SDSU is a High Match, is that KInesiology is a popular major with an acceptance rate of around 34%. Your EI looks good, but it will depend upon the applicant pool this year since SDSU ranks each applicant by major and starts accepting with the highest EI down until all the slots are filled. Here is the # of applicants for each major from last years Freshman Class. SLO’s acceptance rate is even lower around 12%.

For SJSU, you EI was above last year’s acceptance, that is why I put as a Match.

@Gumbymom I have been waitlisted for UC Irvine. I made top 9% of senior class and was told if I meet the requirements, I can be offerred a spot in one of the UC campus. Does that include UCI? Not sure what to do. I have been accepted to SDSU, but still the chance for a spot to UCI?? Please advice if you can.
ELC’s will be offerred a place at UCM not your choice UC only if you are rejected from all the UC’s and IF they have room. Here are the waitlist stats from last year. You have a decent chance and SDSU is a very good alternative.
