I applied to HU. Its my first choice. I desperately want to go there. I checked my application status today and the decision they made was ''Application is under committee review for further consideration,'' what does this mean? Well I know what it means but do I have a good shot? My gpa is low but my sat score was 1630: 570M 540R 520W. ACT score 23: 25E 27M 20R 21S 25E/W Pls help. Im freaking out

whats your gpa

2.34 unfotunately. I screwed myself over big time.

okay i dont know. whne did you apply? should of applied early action like me.

tell me when you get your letter

I did apply early action.

maybe its bcuz your gpa is low but your scores were good, how was your essay? did you send in a resume?

I feel that my essay was great. It was about how everyone should free to be who they are without being judged for it. I cant remember if I sent in a resume, but I am sure I did.

did you get in?

I dont know. My application is under committe review and I talked to a rep but she said I wont find out till april even though I applied early action

Hm, GPA is a little low, and scores might not be enough to compensate. Dunno about your essays, obviously.

You can always transfer – the policy is very simple. 15 or more credits, 2.5 or higher GPA, and one English and one Math course. If you meet those requirements, you’re in. It’s that simple – at least according to the admissions officer I spoke to today.

So, don’t fret if you don’t get in. You can wrap up 15 credits in one semester easily, and then transfer. Maybe find a good community college and grab them super cheaply, and save a few thousand dollars.

Edit: If you get 30 credit hours and a 3.25 or better, you qualify for scholarships, I believe.

you’re like my i have the same ACT scores but my SAT scores are way lower and i have a 2.89 GPA. I’ve been sent to committee review too so I think we’ll get in… I’m just glad to know there’s someone out there in the same boat as me

i got in. but i applied early action. i had a 2.6 and my ACT was 22… my english and reading and stuff was high (29,24,&27) but math and science was low. maybe i compensated with my superb essay. oh, and i sent a resume. that may help. looks good. and you can put extra curricular activities
