PlsHelp! If you=me,What would you do-VaTch vs Willam & Mary, all WM need met w/grants

I fall under W&M's gateway program for need-based grants so I wouldn't have any debt after I graduate if I went there.

At Virginia Tech, I'm going to have to take out a stafford loans per year to cover about $4k the grants aren't covering. VT looks to have a better Business Information Technology program compared to W&M's Business Operations and Information Systems, and I've got lots of friends as tech while I barely know people at W&M, and I like VT's campus better. On the other hand, If I have to max out my stafford loans every year and assuming my grants stay relatively the same, I'm going to have $15500 in debt when I graduate...

I really want to go to VaTech but it's the money that's putting me back. Right now, I'm ~$700 short of the Cost of Attnd, but I have a money refund leftover from a grant I have at my current institution to cover that for next year. What worries me is if I'm barely making it this year with a loan & a grant and I have to put in $700 on top of that, if I don't get any scholarships next year, I'm screwed. On top of that, It's 1 day past W&M's deadline so if I do change my mind, I'm going to have to overnight express mail it and hope they accept it.

Unless you are going to be an engineer or play football, W&M is clearly the better choice. And to go for free?! This is the ultimate no-brainer

William and Mary has more general prestige; it's one of the top public schools in the country. The debt you'd incur at V-Tech isn't so bad, but W&M seems like the better choice. However, with your personal things, it seems a toss up. You have two excellent options.

W&M is a wonderful school. Go, enjoy, meet new friends.

If your going to be happier go to VA Tech. 15-20k in debt isnt that bad comparatively. I wouldnt let the money decide. Go where you will be happier
