Duke reach?
Rice reach?
UC Berkeley reach?
Georgetown match?
UCLA match?
UCSD in
UC Irvine in
UC Riverside in
Thank you so much and I will chance you back if a link is provided!

Duke - reach (low SATs)
Rice - reach
UC Berkeley - low reach
Georgetown - low reach
UCLA - high match
UCSD - match
UC Irvine - match
UC Riverside - low match

I say yes as a match to all the UCs except berkely and LA. those will be low reaches, and certainly not because of your GPA  just the SAT, but dont stress over it.
Duke- reach
Rice- match
Georgetown- match

chance back.

Get the SAT UP!!! anything under 2000 is probably to low for the best schools.

thx everyone! any more chancers? bump…
plz…

I agree with most of the comments made above, but I would dare say that… if you could apply for Rice as an early decision candidate with your new november SAT I and a couple of extra SAT IIs that you’ve mentioned you are opting for, I do not see why you wouldn’t be a competitive andidate for Rice ED admissions.

work on the ec’s in my opinion

i believe you are good at UCR, UCI, and UCSD. Berkeley looks like a reach, along with the rest. Join a few clubs and take the act once. Raise your CR score.

Good luck to you.

I think you chanced yourself about right…don’t talk about your little bro though (unless he’s got some disability). With exception of Georgetown and UCLA (Those are reaches too but I think you’ll get in)

Good GPA, but your SAT scores are really dragging you down. Just do well on your SATs, and you’ll be fine.
However, don’t put babysitting for your brother as an extracurricular… I’m not quite sure if it counts as one haha.
And I was a bit confused on this part: cool attitude towards kids?
What does that mean?

Duke is a reach-- work on ECs and SAT
Rice is a reach-- work on ECs and SAT
UC Berkeley is a reach-- work on ECs and SAT
Georgetown is a reach-- work on ECs and SAT
UCLA is a reach-- work on ECs and SAT
UCSD is a reach
UC Irvine in
UC Riverside in

As the others above have said, just work on your extracurriculars, because you seem to lack a lot. You have the GPA, back it up with your extracurriculars and a decent SAT score. UCLA doesn’t just look at GPA, it specifically looks for extracurriculars.

Good luck! :)

Duke - high reach
Rice - reach
UC Berkeley - low reach
Georgetown - reach
UCLA - high match
UCSD - saftey
UC Irvine - low match
UC Riverside - low match

Duke - high reach

UCSD - safety
UC Irvine - low match
UC Riverside - low match/safety

plenty of students have good math, but low CR scores. you need to raise you CR scores before you have a serious chance at Duke or Berkley.
ps- chance back maybe?

raise you SAT.

Raise your SATs if possible, which it looks like you’re planning on already! And also write about your experiences in your essays. That your working every week for college money, first to go to college, etcetc That will help explain low sats. Everything else is good.

bump bump bump plz

As everybody says you need higher sats!

Duke - reach
Rice - reach
UC Berkeley - reach
Georgetown - reach
UCLA - reach/low reach
UCSD - match (not in though)
UC Irvine - in
UC Riverside - in

Good luck with everything.

I’d say you’re right about all. Chances may be better at Berzerkley cause you’re In-State with great stats! I really don’t know much about the UCs so I can’t say much… (sorry)

You will at this point have difficulty with top college. However, as a person familiar with standardized testing, I think you would probably do MUCH better at the ACT than at the SAT. Why? Because the ACT is a lot more like CSTs, and since your entire school career has been prepping you for those tests, you’ve basically been prepping for the ACT a LOT longer than the SAT. You’ll probably get a 33-35 on the ACT, just looking at your stats.

I think your estimates are pretty good but I wouldnt count on some of those UCs so much because theyre often very unpredictable. If you can get those SAT’s up you’re chances will improve a lot

Let me break this to you bluntly.

are not EC’s and sacrificing senior year GPA to improve your SAT score is despicable. There are hundreds of thousands of students with your mediocre credentials none of whom has anything spectacular to showcase to adcom, who might as well reject everyone of you. The truth of the matter is you never took notice of the rigor and competition of getting into college until now. Yes, that’s right. High school is all about not doing anything fun except keeping your head in textbooks until you get the right grades to get into a decent college.
