<p>hey, guys, i’m an international applicant from China…
i hope you could chance me
i know nobody could be pretty sure about the “chance”, but it does help me to get out of anxiety…
your answer is appreciated~ </p>

<p>High School:
Rank Top <2% in a Municipal Key School
(We don’t use GPA)</p>

<p>SAT I:
June: CR 610, MA 780, WR 650
Nov.: CR 660, MA 760, WR 720</p>

<p>SAT II:
Math II 800, Physics 800, Chemistry 800</p>

<p>TOEFL 104( i think it doesn’t really count that much, does it?)</p>

<p>ECs:

  1. One of five student delegates representing the Municipality(Chongqing) with municipal officials, invited to visit Michigan and Chicago,and attended
    Internationalizing Michigan Education Conference( it’s a conference held to improve educational cooperation between Chongqing and Michigan)</p>

<li><p>Volunteer Work: Teaching Assistant and Translator in International Summer English Camp for 3 weeks in Beijing (yeah, where we held the Olympics), assisting foreign teachers from Oxbridge and Ivies. It’s a great experience!)</p></li>
<li><p>Distinguished Participant in HSYLC (Harvard-AUSCR Summit for Young Leaders in China), Certificate of Excellence in ATVenture Program of HSYLC</p></li>

<p>Work Experience:

  1. Summer intern in Bank of America, N.A., Beijing, for a month
  2. Private English Tutor for a local HS student, 2 hrs per week, for 3 years
    (In China we don’t have so many chance to have work experience… Most students just study 24/7…)</p>

<p>Family Contribution:
My parents will pay full tuition and fees for me… (it’s quite a lot… >"<)</p>

<p>Recommendations:

  1. Counselor/Physics teacher/Student Council Advisor
  2. Math teacher/Class Principal(the head teacher of my class)
  3. an additional additional recommendation from an alumnus of Kellogg’s EMBA, a friend of my parents who knows me quite well since i was a little baby</p>

<p>Major: Econ/Finance/Biz/Accounting</p>

<p>My essays are fine… just think they are average~</p>

<p>Wow your college list is intense, I have to say it’ll be some competition over there.
However you do have great SATs and fascinating ecs, and for TOEFL, i doubt that it’s going to matter a lot, though I’ve heard some colleges ‘require’ a certain criteria for TOEFL. But I’d say u r a good match for Northwestern, especially if you applied as ED applicant.
Well just in case you still feel worried-
CMU and NYU would also be fit and so are the rest (and some even looks safety for you)</p>

<p>Lucky thing you are full-pay; you’ve got a reasonable chance (50-50 anyway.)</p>

<p>Umich,UTA(business school?), uva,unc, and umw are fine.
Northwestern is a little dangerous.</p>
