<p>ok im becoming a junior
and here are my lists of accomplishments</p>

<p>Asian Male
Been living in the US for 3 years so 5 years by the time I graduate
SAT : not yet but i believe i will get around 2200 (on practice im getting like 2070 but ill improve it. critical section is killing me now)
SAT II : not yet planning on taking chemistry, math II, korean and chinese
i took practice math II and got a 760 so i guess i can get 800
ACT : ill take it but ive never taken the test before
Classes : taking 5 ap classes junior year and around 5 more ap classes senior year, and hopefully ill ace both the test and the class.
GPA : unweigted is 4.0 so far
Class rank : in top 20 (not 20%) out of 1156 or something
EC : band, this peer-tutoring group in my school, and UIL (it is some form of math club)
Volunteer hours : 10 hours at nursing home so far (will get more eventually i guess)
Work : been working at Kroger for almost 2 months
Awards : Bunch of awards from winning competitions from math club
I'm not listing all of them.
AMC : planning on taking AMC 12 but im not sure if im actually gonna do it.
i don think ill have time to prepare for it</p>

<p>I'll say a reach but I'm not particularly good at chancing... what's your W GPA and are your math awards prestigious (at national or international levels?)</p>

<p>10 hours is not really worth mentioning. 100-200 is much better. umm.... How high up are the awards (regionals, states, nationals)?</p>

<p>well i got 1st in district then got 6th in regional
but im doing more this year and i think ill be able to go to state this time
cuz last time there was this really good high school and i couldn beat them so yeah..
bunch of little awards and 1st district and 6th regional</p>

<p>Ok. Yeah focus on UIL and AIME 12, maybe get another math or sci related EC on there. At MIT's level, everybody has great grades; what really matters in ECs and the essay and the recs. You're lucky bc you have more time to plan, so good luck!</p>

<p>sounds like ur a diehard applicant. MIT is insanely hard to get in, I would say a 40% chance</p>
