Plz chance me!

So I know my grades aren’t the best in science but I’m hoping I can make up for that with my extra carriculars and skills in language and journalism. I want to major in history or politics so I’m hoping my science grades dont’ weigh me down as much as I think they will. I go a public school in CT that is nationally ranked and sends many kids to Ivy Leagues and Top LAC’s. I haven’t taken my SAT’s yet(will be doing so in March). Also my course load is in the top 3% for challenging. I have some kick ass recomendations lined up and my essays will be good as well.

any suggestions on how to improve my application would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

First of all, stop, you’re overreacting. You have a fine application. And if you start loading up of extra things to put in your application, colleges will notice, and mark it off as B.S.

Thanks for your opinion. I will however say that i’m not overreacting. Also, your implying that “I’ve loaded up on extra things”. I disagree with you strongly about this. I have 4 or 5 clubs that I am very committed to and interested in. I am in no way trying to pad my resume and nothing on my application is BS.

sorry, I meant no disrespect. I see that you are committed to several clubs which is great! Its the improving the app part that I was referring too. I know several people who are padding their application and I don’t want you to fall into the same boat. Good luck! I’m sure you’ll be happy with the results of your college search :)

I think that you’re good to go.

BTW: On the Common App… They ask for one activity that you need to describe in full detail and 3 or so that you’re passionate about. So no BS.

i dont think that all of your grades and extracurriculars are going to be the make or break of the decision. I just got accepted ED and i believe that a huge factor for them is what kind of person you are and your personality. Show that through a well thought out essay and an interview if possible.

thanks for all the feedback guys!
