Sorry about another "Chances" thread.. but I would really appreciate if you could help analyze my case for me, since I haven't quite found a similar one yet.. Depending on your opinions, I could change my time table for the Regular Admission prep.

I am applying to CAS.

Class rank 20/300 (a very competitive IB school)

ECs:
A lot of membership.. few leadership..
In the school Table Tennis Team.

Rec: Dont really know.. I think they are gonna be descent.
Essay: Dont have many comparisions, but think they should be good.

Other Factors: Canadian applicant + Asian

Thoughts:
So I guess my application is in a pretty complicated situation. I have shown I can do math and science, but my ECs are quite limited comparing to what you guys have. Also I have the disadvantage of being an International and an Asian. hm plz comment on my chances? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

hm also I did a 4000 words Physics reseach Essay and had 3 year formal training in art. And I sent in my essay's abstract and a few of my art works.

Any one else Plllllz? I am really not sure what kinda chance I have. Since my international, asian status, and lack of nice ECs may hurt me, I am not too sure how adcom will judge my application.

ED or RD??
Try hard on your essays, it will definitely offset ur lack of leadership.
Your SAT IIs are brilliant, SAT I is beyond great for Cornell, and GPA is decent too. So just get good recs and essays, you should be fine.

I m doing ED, so already had my recs and essays. Just I focused on Academics for both essays, expressed my deepening understanding of science's, why I love science, my apptitude for math and science, my experience of facing academic challenges, what I hoped to accomplish in the undergrad and grad years, and my view on interpersonal competitions. So basically I answered all these questions in the two essays, and the essays were both very logically coherent. So do you think they are good essays? One friend said I shouldn't have focus on purely academics, one said they are brilliant, my english tutor said they are pretty good, and I am just confused.
Also I was hoping my awards in math and sciences could get me into Cornell, but from the three comments I have read about my chances, none of you considered it in my chance of getting.. So does Cornell just don't look at these awards?
Thanx in advance for your inputs on this questions.
