PLZ HELP!!!!!OK QUICK BACKGROUND I WENT TO A CCC FOR LIKE 4 YEARS AND GOT 99% OF MY REQUIREMENTS DONE.... I APPLIED TO UCSB FOR FALL 2011 AND GOT REJECTED... I MOVED TO ISLA VISTA AND STARTED ATTENDING SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE BECAUSE I FIGURED I WOULD FINISH THE LAST COUPLE CLASSES THERE AND THEN START UCSB FALL 2012... TODAY WHEN FILLING OUT MY T.A.G I NOTICED IT SAID YOU MUST HAVE A 3.2 GPA BY THE END OF FALL 2011 AND COMPLETE MATH AND ENGLISH REQUIRMENTS BY FALL 2011... I WAS ALWAYS TOLD YOU HAD TO HAVE A 3.2 AND MATH AND ENGLISH DONE BY THE SPRING BEFORE TRANSFER.... SO HERE IS MY PROBLEM.. I CURRENTLY HAVE A 3.05 AND I STILL NEED TO TAKE A COLLEGE MATH... IS THERE ANY CHANCE I AM STILL ELIGIBLE FOR THE T.A.G OR AM I SCREWED... I KNOW I CAN GET IT UP TO A 3.2 BY SPRING "TAKING SUPER EASY CLASSES" AND MY MATH WILL BE DONE IN THE SPRING.. DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE FOR GETTING THE T.A.G OR AM I GONNA HAVE TO HOPE FOR GENERAL ADMISSION!! AND IF SO WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING ACCEPTED THROUGH THE GENERAL ADMISSION WITH A 3.2 AND ALL REQUIRMENTS INCLUDING ALL MAJOR CLASSES DONE!!! tHANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY FEEDBACK

Why are you YELLING?

Why not! !!!

what’s your major???

Normally I would try my best to help people (even if my suggestion is wrong), but in this case, I’LL JUST LEAVE BECAUSE NO ONE WILL HELP YOU IF YOU WRITE LIKE THIS.

Should’ve gotten a higher GPA.

real beautiful.

I can’t really begin to help without knowing what your major is.

You have been at your CCC for four years and you still have not finished your Math requirement, exactly what have you been doing all this time? You should have been able to take something very basic like Pre-Calculus your first semester at your CCC and that would have satisfied the UC Math requirement for admission as a transfer student.

0/10

Would not read again.

Major is political science… first year I took the pre req for college math… 2nd year class got canceled… 3rd year was attending a fire academy couldn’t take math …3rd year class got canceled again “yea my luck was that bad” moved to a different school which required I take a pre req for the pre req under some new rule so im taking that now and have to take statistics next year… I realize I should have gotten a higher gpa and taken math earlier… unfortunately Doc Brown is not a buddy of mine and the delorian is in the shop… any idea if I have a chance

How many classes a semester did you take?

off the top of my head i have no idea… basically do you think i could still get tag considering math wont be done till spring and i wont have a 3.2 till spring… and if i dont get tag is that still competitive for general admission…

No, you must finish math by fall and have an overall GPA of 3.2 without this I think your chances are slim.

TAG says you MUST finish MATH by Fall 2011. You also must have 3.2 GPA by the FALL of 2011 in order to be qualified for TAG. But you also must have a minimum 3.2 GPA all the way to Spring 2012 in order to continouslly be qualified into TAG.

For example: If you have a 3.2 GPA by the end of Fall 2011 then you will be able to fill out the TAG since you are qualified, but if your GPA drops below 3.2 in Spring 2012 then you will become disqualified for TAG.

However, you can still get accepted into UCSB without TAG you know. Just have a strong GPA by the end of Spring 2012

You can TAG to UC Davis (better school than UCSB) or UC Santa Cruz and finish your math in the Spring apply for general admission to Santa Barbara.

I’m also finishing my math in the Spring. I’m in my third year at CC and took a prereq for a prereq, then I took a prereq, and finally taking Stats in the Spring.

I don’t think you have a great chance of getting into UCSB with that GPA though.
