[plz help] interview tomorrow in restaurent

my interview is tomorrow in a restaurent. is it common courtesy to at least offer to treat the interviewer to lunch or something?

thanks

smile a lot, shake hands firmly, be prepared with interesting stories about how you became class president/ trained for a marathon/ tutored children (or something silly like that) and don't be so overbearing as to seem pretentious, sudo-intelectual or obsequious, and you should be fine. Alumni are people. Humans. Be who you are, if they don't like you, it does not matter. You have a soul and you shouldn't sell it to impress anyone. Good luck. And DO NOT PAY. If they went to Harvard, they are probs rich. Sucking up kills.

It's funny to see someone being (reasonably) nervous about interview @ a restaurant when I was just wondering about it yesterday.

I had my H interview today at a pretty upscale restaurant, but the restaurant was a bit unique. It's a market-like place, you get a card when you go in, go around to each "vender", place your order, they'll make the food for you, swipe your card, and you pay for everything when you leave. Since I got there 20 min early, I got myself a drink and some desert. My interviewer came in later and got her own card, so no, I didn't offer to treat her.

Actually, at the end of the interview, she grabbed my card and insisted to treat me (despite my polite decline).

^ "grabbed your card" lol so you were treating yourself? haha

What did you guys wear? I'll be having mine at a pretty upscale restaurant, too. I think my interviewer is really rich, so should I wear nice pants and a collar shirt, or go with a suit instead?

123orange,
It's not a credit/debit card. If you read my description above, you'd know that you get a restaurant card when you go in. Whenever you order something, the chefs would swipe it through their machine, and the item that you bought is added onto your card. It's like a electronic tally of your orders. When you leave, you give the card to the cashier, they scan the card and your total comes up. So my interview treated for me by paying up my card.

ohh I get it haha sorry I thought it was like you pay for your card...;)
