<p>Not too sure about these answers but this is what i think is right.</p>

<p>1) A. The concentration of the starch remains constant. The starch can’t leave the bag because the bag is impermeable to starch so the starch concentration remains constant.</p>

<p>2) C. When plants are in salty solutions compared to their own concentration then they shrink and shrivel, this can result in plasmolysis. The concentration of solute has to reach equillibrium and since plant is hypotonic to solution water must flow out of plant. Water is stored in the vacuole so it would leave from the vacuole.</p>

<p>3)C) I think the number is 8, because a fertilized egg contains diploid number so if 8 chromosomes, so the fertilized egg contains 8 chromosomes</p>

<p>4) c) The cell that divides through meiosis will have double chrom. number as cells of those in meiosis so it is 24 chromosomes.</p>

<p>5) C) Chromosome number is same as diploid i think.</p>

<p>because water will go into the bag bc there is less conc of water in a 10% starch solution. this will cause the conc of starch to decrease</p>

<p>Why isn’t the answer 56? If it has 28 chromosomes it should have 56 if it was diploid?</p>
