Other than your presidency of HOSA, your other awards are useless (duke Talent Program-> 7th grade? Who's Who? National Honor Roll? NHS? Non leadership positions?)</p>
<p>You should get into a&m and UT. Duke, Rice, UNC are reaches, Vandy is a match/reach.</p>
<p>Your 1410 SAT is nothing special. Rice, Duke, UNC, as I've said, will be difficult. Vanderbilt will prob be a match/reach unless you're from Houston. In that case, it'll probably be a reach. So many applicants from Houston!</p>
<p>i'm from chapel hilll, nc, more than 70 ppl from my school got accepeted to UNC-ch every year and 30-40 to duke, basically you need a 4.3 weighted gpa with above 1250 SAT for in-state, out-of-state, i think ur stat is already over what i've said. duke,, i'm nto sure, 2 yrs ago, my friend had a 4.3 weighted gpa, about 8 or 9 APs and 1500 SAT got into duke, with no scholarship tho and she's asian, duke doesn't really like asian much, which is why i'm not applying there.</p>
<p>oo yeah one more thing, if u r a girl, u DON"T wanna go to unc-chapel hill, too many girls anyway,, the place is nice, my house's 5 minutes from it, hehe..</p>
<p>I'm from Durham (about 2 secs from UNC and Duke) and ur stats look good for UNC, but its really a tossup out-of-state. Only 18% of the spaces are available for out-of-staters and most of them are used for athletes. Duke has lots and lots of Asian people and I spent a good amount of time on the campus. I don't think they discriminate at all. But go ahead and apply anyway, I think you will get into UNC and Duke. Best of luck.</p>

<p>well, i know there's an IB school in raleigh that's pretty good, and another one in Charolette. anyway, our schoool is usually ranked between 30-55 in the nation, hehe... i'll stop bragging now :)</p>
