Have any 2011ers received PO Box information yet? An earlier mailing said we would receive it before Beast, so I'm just wondering if any of y'all have seen anything yet...?

As of today I still haven't gotten anything

me neither

NILL Here :)

I got it....you haven't yet? Just kidding.

did you guys get those two books they sent?

Yeah I got the two big books, but no PO box yet.

Hope it comes soon, I want me mail.

I recall receiving it a week or two before R-Day.

Awesome... thanks, momoftwins! I believe it's the same PO Box we have for the whole four years, right?

Yes. I found some info in the gold "Instructions for candidates offered admission" booklet, it says that the PO box #'s are usually mailed "3 weeks before reception day", so I wouldn't expect anything before late next week.

Yes, you'll have the same p.o. box number all 4 years. This will be used for normal mail. When you're able to receive packages (boodle :) :)), there will be another mailing address which you and your parents will receive.

I got my P.O. Box letter today. Strangely, it comes bundled with a sort of cover letter that explains how to contact your new cadet and in the little format they have for how to address your new cadet when sending mail, it mentions to include "Cadet Basic Training Company X" but on the other sheet they sent me, that contained my P.O. Box, there was no mention of what CBT company I'm in. What's even more confusing, is on that same cover letter, it says that we won't find out our CBT companies until R-Day. With that said, I reckon that us new cadets out there ask our parents, or whoever is coming with us on R-Day, or a kind family if you're traveling alone, to let someone back home know what CBT company we're in and to adjust the way they address their letter addresses accordingly.

It's almost time guys. Anyone out there anxious? I know I am. I hope I can make it.

Sweet, I'll be checkin' the mailbox!

Yeah I'm anxious. I just realized I only have 3 more weekends at home...yikes!

Your parents will pick up a card immediately after the 90-second goodbye. It will have your company name and p.o. box number. In the meantime, if anyone wants to send you a letter without the company name, you'll receive it as long as the p.o. box number is included.

Putting the company on it is more important towards the end of the summer...it's so the mail room can quickly sort out all the new cadet mail that's going out to the field into the appropriate boxes for the cadre to pick up.

My son is going to R-day alone. So I guess this means I have to wait for the first phone call or letter to find out which company he is in.

Perhaps you can get somebody from your local parents' club to check for you? Maybe they can pick up the card? I'm not sure if it's allowed, but you can try. You may want to check on prospective.net or plebe.net to find out how others have handled this.

I just got my PO Box a few days ago. When do you think we'll get our package address? Is there any limit on the mail new cadets can get, because I gave my address out to just about my entire graduating senior class...

I can only speak to what new cadets were allowed to get when our D went through Beast two years ago---
No boxes, "packages", or other boodle until after A day. Letters only.
New cadets were escorted to their mail boxes to pick up mail so the cadre was able to see the type of mail (envelope or box) the new cadets were receiving.

Shogun is right. We were told no packages, letters or postcards only until A-day.
