Poems/Translation Passage

Discuss!!!!

Worst/Hardest passage ever. It killed my score, I hope it was experimental.

i don't think it was experimental...

i didn't liek it much either....but it cant be experimental b/c i had 2 writing

what did yall say for the last answer?

A (ten char)

Absolutely evil.... but it definitely counted.

2011 - What was the last question, I can't remember.

What did you guys put for the one with the purpose of modern readers using only literal translations to give the authors their due?

i thought it was alright..

wut were the probs?

i remember one about the european scholar and crime

What did you guys put for the one with the purpose of modern readers using only literal translations to give the authors their due?

B or D, can't remember

wut were teh options

I guessed the crap out of that section....

Heh I think I put A. Which means you're probably right.

a - debating
b- (what I put) - something about original language/intent
c, d, e - no idea

i think i put B

can anyone remember anythin else

i might get my scores cancelled. i'm not sure... my first, and most recent SAT (last year, feb.) was a 1720 (550/610/560) but i scored a 2140 and a 2090 on 2 practice tests i've taken in the past days. however, on CR i was getting a raw score of 57-59..
i think this passage definitely put me at <680..
combined with some stupid mistakes I made on math, i'm thinking of cancelling them and crossing my fingers in may.

BTW-I go with ACT normally, I'm just taking the SAT in case my SAT somehow gets higher than my ACT (32), so it's not like the colleges will be seeing that 1720 as my only score.. lol

Personally, I wouldn't cancel. Even if you got a 650 or whatever, its much better than your 1760. It will only help to support your ACT scores.

I guess this might be a dumb question since no one seems to be worried about it, but the one with the bioluminescence, what did you guys put for the reason as to why the copeds (or the small shrimp-like things) were transparent?

So they could be better predetors. In like that same sentence it said something about being predetors.

Really? I thought the sentences after talked mostly about them not eating the lighted algae. I don't remember the passage ever saying copeds were better predators because of their transparency, let alone them being good predators at all.

Ok, I'm really jumbled right now. -_-;

To avoid being eaten by other predators - they disliked the glowing creatures because it made other organisms aware of their prescence.

W/E there was only one chocie with "predators" and that's the one I picked.

"to deter predtors" was the right answer
