Did you guys put "to explain the abundance of the copeds" for the question that asked why the author mentioned the transparency of the copeds?

It was either that or to show that they were efficient predators. All the rest made no sense.

But I can't remember what I put--but I remember thinking that the predators one was awkward because the passage never states anything about the proficiency of copeds as predators. But they did mention that they were abundant. Going by mentioned and not mentioned, I guess that one would be right. But....who knows.

"Did you guys put "to explain the abundance of the copeds" for the question that asked why the author mentioned the transparency of the copeds?"

I think that's right because the passage stated that they were the most abundant creatures in the sea. So yes, I believe that it must be the one that accounts for the abundance of the copeds

Do any of you with this test know which writing was experimental?

was this the experimental section? I don't recall having this section. I really hope i had a math experimental because the math totally sucked :( .

Well for those of you with this test and no experimental writing, do you remember what the "improving paragraphs" paragraph was about?

something about success in failure

yea about that. was it supposedly? cause however and nevertheless i thought were same so i didnt pick any one of em.

some answers for poetry one
-middleground - something about tender personal experince with something (was that one the translation/ poem page?)
- something about neglecting scholarship
- view something as irrational becuz he ignored good intentions
more than one meaning in sound

Solar, I think the majority of those answers are wrong.

the only answer I have the same as solars is the irrational one...

so what answers did you guys have

also did you guys hv "il fait friod" as one of the answers

Yeah, i don't recall having any of those answers. Did you all have a writing question that talked about a gameshow where people already had good answers?

Did anyone have the chimpanzee passage?

Solars, I believe that I put the arabian title for the "il fait friod" one. I'm not really sure what question you're talking about though.

Yeah I think the majority of the answers in the post on the previous page are incorrect.

post the answer sthat u guys had for this passage

The only one I remember is the author's regard of the "wrath" felt over the man's statement that his translation is literal. The claim is justified, as acknowledged by the author, because although we understand that the author supports the translation, it certainly is not literal as evidenced by the examples of the anglo-saxon v. english words with entirely different meanings.

what about the question where it asked what BOTH authors think a good translation is?

Could that have been something like "One that captures the essence of the original piece?"

Something like that.
