<p>Does anyone know when they will be sending out invites to the Pogue Scholarship?</p>
<p>I think they already did since decisions are already out.</p>

<p>Pogue Scholarship:If you apply to Carolina, you will automatically be considered for the Pogue Scholarship. For fullest consideration for this award, you must apply to the University by January 15. If you are nominated by the Admissions Committee for the scholarship, you will be invited to complete a supplemental application. Finalists will be notified in mid-February and invited to an interview weekend.</p>
<p>On UNC Admissions Blog, someone commented that Pogue nominees will be notified on February 5.</p>
<p>On the admissions blog, he said expect to hear by FEB 5.</p>
<p>I know the admissions office said that they sent them last week. So, has anyone gotten this?</p>
<p>Not us…but we live in BLIZZARD STRUCK DC and have not received any mail since Friday and may not all week…</p>
<p>yea i live in the dc area too. But, I got some mail today for the first time this week. So, i was just wondering if I should still be looking out for it in the mail or not.</p>
<p>you know jgirl…i dont think S. is going to be invited but, I can’t believe no one here has heard yet…I mean it is CC!! We haven’t even gotten the National Achievement Scholarship info --nor has our school! The School just contacted me last night to say they have not heard anything from NASP and that was due 2 weeks ago…!</p>
<p>MY friend was told e was nominated for the pogue the same day he went to tar heel shadow.</p>

<p>has anyone else been contacted only by mail. I’m really hoping to get this scholarship but I haven’t gotten anything in my email. I lost hope earlier, especially when other people were hearing about the honors college in their emails and I wasn’t. But, just yesterday, I got an invitation to participate in the honors program in the mail (even after I called admissions to ask them if I had been invited and they said no). </p>
<p>Anyways, I just want to know if I still have a chance.</p>
<p>Jgirl…I was wondering the same thing. It seems very strange that no one at S’s school or here on CC has mentioned it this year. (exc FFurious) but the UNC weblog said folks would be contacted by FEB 5. Since they changed the procedure this year, who knows what is happening. </p>
<p>S also got into Honors…thank God they did not make that same mistake here…lol. That is pretty bad.</p>
<p>I got an email Feb. 3 inviting me to apply for the Pogue Scholarship. Applications were due Feb. 17 and finalists will be notified Feb 26 for interviews on March 21-22.</p>
