Hey peeps,
Does anyone know if I could get /any/ points for having 70 hours of community service? Or is it cutthroat over 100?

Can anyone post a link or explain how to calculate your points?

ucsd score - Google Docs

Aha! Thank you both!

whistles I'm about 550 points behind... ah darn!

If I did it right..I'm around 8100.
who knows, though. this is an odd system.

imgoing2college: throw some of those points my way, please!

Ah, I wish I wasn't such a numbskull my freshman year, then I wouldn't be in this position right now :(

I have 7808 points. =/ Hopefully that's enough. Last year's cutoff was 7576, which is about a 111 point increase from 2004. Argh, the cutoff better not jump a thousand spaces.

that would suck horribly

I have about 8048...hopefully...prays

I hope rider730 is right about it only jumping like 200 places at most, lol. Who knows.

Muserz, I guarantee you that's enough to get you into UCSD. =)

Rameezkhan, when I applied I accidently put that my school was a FUll term and semester term school. however my school is only semester based. so I sent a letter explaining my mistake (I hope they got it), so all my full year classes on my application show only one grade not two. Do you think they will still calculate it the same as a semester based school?

They would have to know your second semester grades in order to calculate your UC GPA. In the letter, did you type out your second semester grades? I'm assuming this is what was lacking on your application when you mean by only "one grade not two."

I sent an unofficial transcript. Its not really lacking its just when I put that my full year courses were full term, they only asked for one grade. And my grades didn't change from one semester to the next.

Then you may be okay. I would call each campus just to verify.

It seems a bit late now groan

Yeah. Did you get into any other UCs? Irvine? Davis? I assume you sent the same letter to each of the others.

I did. I only applied to UCLA, UCSD (my number one), and UCSB. But the thing is alot of schools are full year schools, so it might not be too much of an issue.
