Pointless and

I know I'll be looked upon as an obnoxious twit for even asking this, especially now...Nevertheless, would anybody like to read + review my uchicago essay? I like good feedback, and I don't feel that I have gotten any so far on this particular essay. My English teacher loved it, but I don't respect his opinion nearly as much as those of some of the posters on this board. So, if anyone feels like doing me this favor, PM me.

Maybe I'll throw in a Valentine's Day-themed incentive...If you review my essay, I'll send you an exquisite Valentine's Day e-card :)

I'd be happy to read your essay, I understand the need for feedback, however untimely. Why don't you send me it in one of those private message things that cc provides for us?

OK, I sent the essay. Thanks for deciding to look at it!

Okay...throwing the idea out there...since the essay topics were so creative and applicants probably good writers...and since the deadline is far past and Chicago doesn't repeat questions, thus eliminating worries about plagiarism...why not have an essay sharing post?

the only problem with that is that others applying to college next yr may find our essays and decide that they'd be great to use with the "pick your own topic" on the common app or even on chicago's "uncommon application"

wouldnt chicago notice?

lol, it would be pretty suspicious if next year, kids who "picked their own topic" coincidentally picked the jar of mustard essay!

plus, i think several adcoms read each essay.. they are bound to notice..

by the way... i started the 'essay sharing post' suggested by eirean, if u guys want to post ur essay comments there..
