Does anyone know how many points you would need to get a 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Chem test?

107-160....5
85-106......4
61-84.......3
42-60.......2
0-41........1

from the AP Chem 2002 Scoring Guide

It's been skyrocketing. It was 93 in 1989 and it was 100 in 1999.

How do you calculate your score? With the various sections in the free response and everything?

I'll post up a neat spreadsheet - in a little while - that calculates everything for you.

IM/PM me if you have any problems with the spreadsheet...all data is based on the 2002 rubric.

^do you happen to have one of those for the calc ab exam?

Nope....I'm sorry...I got the basic spreadsheet from my chemistry teacher...and I just added the nice formatting & validation code.

thanks scareya!

lol nice scareya!

You're welcome.

are you sure it was only a 100 for the 99 exam? I got a 112 on it and on the sparknotes book that is a borderline 5

Wow i did not know this was weighted, this makes things alot better.
