Pol Sci 179 has a time conflict with one of my discussion sections for the next semester. If anyone took the class, is attending lecture necessary? It looks like all the lectures for the class are posted online so if I just listen to those I should be fine right?

Its webcasted. Some lectures are put online, but some aren’t. From my experience, most of the lectures that aren’t webcasted have the most questions on the final.

yeah, it should be fine…but it depends if you keep up with the lectures…haha I watched like 7 lectures in a row during Thanksgiving and then realized that the final was a week before finals week…(phew otherwise I would have missed it…)

I checked the previous years- it seems like nearly all (maybe missing 1-2 out of 13 or so lectures) lectures are posted online

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure Ross has a policy where you cannot be enrolled in a conflicting class for PS179.
Also, you can’t rely on the previous year’s lectures as a standard. It really depends on whether or not this semester’s speakers want to be recorded or not.
