Hey!
I'm looking at telebears in 3 days and i have to get two more 4 unit classes to go along with my Chem1a and Math1a. Premed hopeful here :)

so, what have you guys heard about Political Science 5 (International Relations) with Gurowitz? Ratemyprof seems to give off the impression that she's really knowledgeable, but grades hard and talks really fast. Is it a fun class?

What I'm puzzled about is why that class has so few people. One might have thought IR would be really interesting (it is to me, anyway).

i want to take it :)
no prereqs right?

after i found out that Arthist62 (renn art) was full, i really wanted to take some sort of polisci. Ive already taken polisci at a CC and i thought poli3 sounded really boring.

And yeah, IR sounds really cool and it has no prereqs!

can anyone else contribute knowledge of the course/teacher?

I would also be interested in this. lol i was also puzzled as to why this class wasn't full like phase 1 itself.

I really wanted to take that class too but I'm not going to because PS 5 is lower division and at this point won't fulfill any political science major requirements. You have to take PS 1, PS 2, & PS 3 as lower division reqs. But only PS 1 & 2 to declare.
But they're changing the requirements for new admits this coming year. I guess you can replace PS 2 with PS 5 and other classes. But unfortunately, this new regulation does not apply to us.

What have you heard about the class? Is it more reading and writing oriented or more focused on debates/discussions? Thx for ur time.
