I'm a high school junior, 16 years old, and my goal is to work for the UN, either in relation to international humanitarian law or as an interpreter. I've been trying to decipher which major would be best to follow, in order to achieve my goals, but all of the college websites I've looked at have complicated descriptions that really don't help much. I speak fluent Spanish and have just begun learning Arabic. Can anyone help? If you know any colleges with good programs that would suit me, I'd welcome suggestions!

For poli sci or international relations there are many good programs. The DC unis are all good.
-American University
-Georgetown University (best of these three)
-George Washington University
(beware all of those are expensive, I was accepted to American, but it was too expensive so I am going to a state school)

Agreed. American has a strong program, and so does GW and Georgetown. Georgetown is a powerhouse in IR, and GW and AU are probably top 10. I'm going to GW for The Elliot School next year. I'm excited. Colin Powell got a degree from GW(M.A.).Here's a link if your interested: http://www.gwu.edu/~elliott/

Thank you for the suggestions, but can you help me decipher all of these 'major' choices? (sorry, horrible pun)
