Police: Yale student, a bride-to-be, disappears

There was [physical trauma](Injury - Wikipedia) involved.

The death penalty isn’t doing our tax dollars any favor. Besides, life in prison is a far worse punishment than the death penalty in m opinion.

Anyhow, please guys, let’s not rush into conclusions based on tabloid-driven speculation. We all remembered what happened during the Duke lacrosse scandal; let’s learn from that debacle.

Good news: arrest warrant is on the way.

[DNA matches; Arrest appears likely- The New Haven Register - Serving Greater New Haven, CT](http://nhregister.com/articles/2009/09/16/news/new_haven/doc4ab1aba51aaa2626821913.txt)

I just saw on Larry King today that the suspect was part of “Asian Awareness Club” in high school; although that’s not a definite sign of anything, it still is of interest, and one friend of his in his HS said he sometimes couldn’t control himself, was aggressive, et cetera. Hopefully the DNA will match his if there hasn’t been one yet!

What was I talking about in my previous post; if he was part of Asian Awareness Club in HS, then he CLEARLY did it! I mean that with full force!

[WCBS NEWSRADIO 880 - Arrest Made in Killing of Yale University Graduate Student Annie Le](<a href=“New York News & Talk Radio - WCBS-AM | WCBS Newsradio 880”>New York News & Talk Radio - WCBS-AM | WCBS Newsradio 880)

I don’t understand what you mean. Asians Awareness Club, as in beware of these people, or as in learning about another culture? Either way, what is the Club in HS has to do with the murder?

Police chief says this is about workplace violence. Makes some sense to me. He wasn’t just any lab technician- he was cleaning animal cages after researchers were done with their work. Takes a certain type of person to do that. I am speculating here, but she may have been a bit distracted by her upcoming wedding and might have been a bit more messy than usual. Could it be, she was killed by a neat-freak? Scary.

Don’t forget other members of his family also worked a lab tech, so they had to have discussed the “issue” at lenght among themselves. Who knows what was said? I believe he was probably fuelled by these conversations.

'workplace violence" is a convenient term, but please, there are more and much more hidden motifs underneath of this modern crime!

I hope, sincerely, that you’re being sarcastic. If not, I hope that you aren’t involved in any sort of criminal investigations as a career. That logic would be astounding: non-Asian as a member of a high school Asian Awareness Club equals potential murderer of Asian in the future. Yeah right.

President Levin just sent all of us an email stating that Raymond Clark has been arrested, but admonishing against a “rush to judgment” in accomplishment of due process.

He thanked everyone in the law enforcement community for their tireless efforts, and spoke eloquently of the Yale family and “the search for truth to which she herself [Le] was so deeply devoted”.

I thought it was wonderfully written.

I also thought they must have a pretty strong case, if Pres. Levin named Clark in the message and stated that nothing in Clark’s background would have indicated that “his involvement in such a crime might be possible”.

Again, it’s a wait and see, but it helps to know that Pres. Levin and Dean Miller (who sent 2 messages in the past days) want to keep the “Yale family” apprised, and that they understand the level of concern.

I think it speaks well of Yale, and I, for one, am proud of the way this has been handled.

AnudduhMom, I agree the letter from President Levin was informative and reassuring. I don’t remember receiving emails from Dean Miller???

TTT, I believe one was before the Candlelight Vigil and one was after, but I could be misremembering the time frame of the messages, etc.

I’m sure you share a feeling of relief, but still – tense and exhausted, with the new school year just begun and all.

Stay safe and well, everyone.

Below is the text of Pres Levin’s email:

To the Yale Community:

The New Haven Chief of Police has just announced that Raymond Clark has been arrested in connection with the death of Annie Le. We are relieved and encouraged by this progress in the investigation, but, of course, we must resist the temptation to rush to judgment until a full and fair prosecution of this case brings a just resolution. As with every development in this tragic story, we think first of Annie’s family, her fianc

Mr. T, you don’t know the slightest thing about me, so I’d hush if I were you; initially, I stated that it is not of utter importance, but that it might be a sign of something. Then, my intuition just got over me with more expounding videos on Mr. Clark on Youtube, so I wanted to re-iterate what I said with some more oomph, though possibly at the expense of being more objective in data analysis. Big deal. Everyone goes through it. It’s called instinct. If you feel like that can play no role in the case, then that’s your prerogative. The fact that he was part of the club in HS clearly suggests that he was-at best-interested in the Asian culture. Then his victim is Asian.

These are just blanket speculations but, at least can provide some insight.

Moreover, DNA has already been traced back to Mr. Clark, indicating that now he can well-nigh be the suspect, or an accomplice.

So, looks like I just ridiculed your pathetic post.

Furthermore, you, making a broad generalization over a little remark, have no right to ascertain whether or not someone should be involved in “criminal investigations,” as you so put it. Why don’t you refrain from judging others until you can learn to control you short-lived temper and judgmental behavior. Clearly, T26, you need a career where people completely abide by your own personal predilections 100%. Good luck with that because you’re never going to find it. Ergo the equation: you = failure.

Next time phrase your questions regarding others’ post with at least a bit of respect, and then begin asking with adverbs “how; why?” rather than ad hominem attacks (or implied nonetheless). The world doesn’t revolve around you. Make note of that.

That is horrible, to think that this would occur at an institution of such high standards.

Talk about people knowning how to wash their hands clean. I hired the right guy, he was a good worker and I never saw this coming…

MeowMix52…are you aware that there was a murder in a harvard dorm this past spring? The deceased was not a student but he was associated with students at Harvard. There is no shelter from the real world we live in - not even at yale or harvard.
