Policies and Approaches Regarding. Sexual Assault

<p>There has been a lot written these past months regarding sexual assault cases and how they are handled at specific LACs, including, Amherst, Swarthmore, Wesleyan and Occidental. The <em>Argus</em> has published an excellent review of the history and evolution of Wesleyan's policies. It's worth noting that they have been the object of much campus wide discussion since at least 2010 and have included the creation of a separate adjudication body for just sexual assaults; a choice of reportng options for survivors, including the choice of whether to go the police; and, assistance with changing housing and classroom schedules for both survivor and accused:

<p>The <em>Argus</em> also reveals that the number of reported cases of sexual assault at Wesleyan was 17 over a two year period.</p>
