Policy on submitting test scores (Cornell)?

I did try to look this up, but I received mixed messages and contradicting information, so I come to CC in search for enlightenment. I did hear a bunch of jazz about Cornell not having Score Choice, but I heard that there was some extent you could choose...?

Anyway, for Cornell (specifically CALS), I'm pretty sure the ACT with writing can be taken in lieu of the SAT and SAT Subject Tests...this is true, right? Also, let's say I take the SAT in Spring of my junior year in high school, and then retake it again in the Fall of my senior year. Let's say I also take the ACT and two SAT Subject Tests in the fall of my senior year as well. I have some questions concerning the situation:

If I do poorly on my first SAT exam, but great on my second, can I choose to only submit my second? If not, will they only consider my highest score anyway?

If I do great on the ACT and not as well on the SATs and SAT Subject Tests, can I submit my ACT score alone? Or must I submit all of my scores to Cornell CALS no matter what?

If I must submit all of my scores no matter what, when it comes to SAT vs. ACT (this ties into a previous question), will the highest score be the only score that's significant?

Thank you!

Hi,
If I have taken both the SAT and ACT, but only want to submit the ACT, is that okay to do? Also, the instructions state to send all the SAT scores if sending the SAT scores, but does not give that same instruction on the ACT scores. Can I send only the highest ACT score I had? Thank you.

Jo, yes, you can choose to submit only your highest ACT score.

…although Cornell does not participate in Score Choice, if you only submit ACT, they will never see any of your SAT scores. Report any SAT & they will receive all of them. However, Cornell has stated many times, that they will use your BEST scores. If they like the rest of your application, they will look for a reason to reject you.

Okay, thank you for the info!
