Political Atmosphere

Getting close to an ED application decision. Just wondering how you would describe the student body's political leanings... Thanks!

The student body here at Union is pretty split between liberals and conservatives. Even (very arbitrary) online sights have Union ranked at directly in the middle. Any student can find others with their views, or go out of that zone to learn aout others.
There are both Union College Democrats and Union College Republicans as clubs on campus. If one wants to be very actively political on campus, there is that opportunity to do so, on any side. Or if one doesn’t want to be involved they do not have to, though many students are.
We have a mini-newspaper here called The Banner, which is a political newspaper run and written by the students, advocating and explaining issues from different political standpoints.
All in all, Union has both conservatives and liberals, with everything else running around and in between.
