Political climate?

Sorry Zap Senior Bush election was pretty unmonumental although I was glad we were living out of the US for that election season given some of the tactics that were used!

Don't remember or care. Cannot possibly compare to more recent elections, anyway.

The bottom line is when you have a EE exam that Wednesday morning, the last thing you give a damn about is what fool won the election while you were studying Tuesday night.

The bottom line is that unless things have changed radically, politics just isn't a priority in discussions at USNA. Where you're going on liberty the following weekend is.

^^^^

I'm sure the Plebes wished they were having that discussion!

As it was characterized to me, it is not so much the formal discussions as it is the mindless blabbering that gets old. Sort of like took place on this website last summer.
People just mouthing off opinions w/out any particular basis for what they say. It gets old on either side of the spectrum whether you are 18, 28, 48, or older.

Oh, believe me.... they do. Plebes are not prisoners. They may not get the same kind or amount of liberty as the upperclassmen, but they get theirs. :)

"Plebes are not prisoners."

LOL They feel like it though! They make big plans for Saturdays only to have it cancelled...oh the life of a Plebe!

He did manage to score a few weekends for second semester so right now he thinks life is good. (Not that they have any money to go anywhere, nor transportation to get there but hey we don't need to remind them of that little detail!)
