Political Makeup of Notre Dame

<p>This is for all of the people who like to banter about how everyone at Notre Dame is the same, or not.</p>

<p>According to the student run political science journal, Beyond Politics, Domers self identify themselves as 37% Republican, 29% Independent, and 28% Democrat. And in terms of presidential candidates, McCain beats Clinton, Obama beats McCain if Domers are voting. This is based on a February 7-13 poll taken by the journal.</p>

<p>I think any of the current candidates are president worthy… Ron Paul would have made the best president!</p>

<p>I am interested in this, too especially with the candidates campaigning in Indiana now. My sense is that there is a lot of apathy, then again that may be more of a statement about my son and his buddies ;)</p>

<p>It’s probably closer to 20% R, 15% I, 15% D, and 50% apathetic.</p>
