How do the two undergrad programs compare in difficulty? Job placement? Law school admissions? Is Poli-Sci with an Econ minor possible (and can this combination lead to a job in business/consulting)? Any insights are welcome!

I second this thread, I want to know too.

Econ is definitely harder/more "anal". Not bad, mind you, but it has more of a notorious reputation. For job placement, I don't know, but investment banking and consulting are quite popular for econ majors. Law school doesn't give a flying rat's arse about what you major in, as long as you can write really well and your GPA is perfect. I've seen people major in sociology or German studies or whatever and get into law school.

Poli-sci with econ minor is definitely possible. Econ would be more useful for a career path in business/consulting, and even better would be Management Science and Engineering (a.k.a. poor man's business degree).
