How good is Georgetown at undergrad Political Science? I realize they are the best at international affairs, but right know I am more interested in general political science, not int affairs. Thanks for any info.

we dont have a poli sci major per se.
but we do have govt..which is very good

better at internatinal relations

Yes, poli sci, gov, same thing. So it is good? As good as other top tier schools programs?

It is difficult to distinguish between schools in the Top 5, and using qualitative terms such as 'best' and 'worst' can be misleading; each school in the Top 5 has resources for law students who wish to focus in specific areas. This is not to say that other law schools in the Top 5 are lacking in those areas, but that some schools are more specialized than others.

When vacillating between Harvard Law School and Yale Law School, one's career goals will figure prominently in the decision; if one wishes to pursue a career in legal academica, Yale Law School is the more appropriate choice. On the other hand, if one wishes to work in a big law form, Harvard is just as good. Of course, many professors of law come from Harvard, but the competitive environment is not conducive to those who wish to become professors (you have to be at the top of your class). At Yale, however, if I am not mistaken, the only grading system is 'Honors, Pass, Fail' and there is no GPA.

Refining the distinctions between law schools is essential if one is to attend a law school that is most appropriate for one's needs. Predicating your decision solely on dubious rankings is not prudent.

Thanks guys, but is the UNDERGRAD government program any good?

uh, yeah. it's georgetown, and it's in DC, the heart of politics. It's arguably the strongest program in the College.

Thanks. I'd always been under the impression that while the SFS/International Relations part was really good, the government program wasn't that great.
