hey, i was recently accepted to the university and im planning to go into the political science/ international relations field. what would you consider to be the quality of these classes and popularity amongst students?

Also, how common is it for students to double major in political science and law ?

I was briefly a political science major. That and IR are both good programs, but they’re also not considered to be very difficult. Also, there’s no pre-law major.

I was poli sci and absolutely love the department. It has changed a lot in the past year because I think 6-8 profs are retiring. So it’s a very young dept now. I liked this about it…the profs are very easy to relate to and accessible. They’re also pretty into teaching over research alone. Reeves, Kriner, and Rossell are some of my favorite profs, check em out if you can! BUsenior says not difficult…but that’s subjective. If you’re really good at math and science, maybe the social sciences are a bit more difficult. I worked hard to get my grades in most of my classes. And like he said, no pre-law major. A lot of poli sci/IR people go on to apply to law school, though.
