Political science/International Studies

Ok so odds are I am probably going to be going to Ohio State because its relatively cheap since I am in state and my ACT scores (28) aren’t going to get me into Notre Dame, NYU, or Northwestern. I am planning to major in international studies with a concentration in diplomacy and relations. But, I’ve noticed that OSU apparently has one of the best Poly Sci programs in the U.S. What I want to know is whether I should double major in Political Science and International Studies or I though about economics maybe? I guess what I really want to know is if there is enough cross over between international studies classes and political science classes that it would be worthless to pick up that major or would it benefit me… Ultimately my goal is to go to law school so these majors are essentially just a stepping stone towards that.

It all depends on the school and department requirements. Ask your college counselor—they’re your best friend.

International studies is kind of a useless major. Not sure about political science. I guess it depends on what you want to do with it?

Don’t count yourself out of the good schools. You know there are a lot of smaller private schools in the area that give big scholarships. My sis got three quarters tuition at Denison.

what did you get on TOEFL?
