I am planning to take the GRE and apply to various Political Science Ph.D programs. I attended the University of California, Berkeley and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.1. My Political Science GPA is slightly lower than that. Will schools heavily take into consideration my Political Science GPA over cumulative GPA? Also, I transferred from a local community college to U.C. Berkeley. Will those grades be factored in as well? Will my GPA affect me in regards to being admitted to a known school?
