Political Science Schools

Hello everyone. I need some good schools to look at for a Political Science major, mainly some safety schools. I've already made a list of some Ivies (Harvard, Princeton, Columbia) and I'm also looking at colleges like Boston College and NYU, but I need some more schools. I am 90% sure on going into Political Science, and I have a plan on what I want to do after college, but my mom is basically telling me I need to find some more schools. I guess I'll put in my academic stuff, but any help would be amazing. Thank you!

GPA: High 96, Low 97 (Not weighted)
Standardized Tests/AP: AP World History (Scored a 5), AP Physics-B, AP English Literature and Composition, and AP US History (Just took those last three). Next year I'm taking AP Chemistry, AP Calc BC, AP US Government, and AP English Language and Composition, and I might consider taking AP Spanish as an outside class. My SAT scores for the first time were a 610 on the Math, a 630 on the Writing, and a 680 on the Critical Reading. I'm taking the ACTs and the SAT IIs in June.
Extracurriculars: Drama Troupe, Summer Theatre, Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Science Olympiad, NHS, a tutoring club that helps kids in the middle school, Varsity Club next year, and running for the Vice President of my class for this year as well.

I'm aiming for Ivies definetelly, but the main thing I need are safety schools, so again, thank you very much!

Georgetown, George Washington, Tufts, UC-Berkley/LA/San Diego/Irvine, Wisconsin-Madison, John Hopkins, Michigan-Ann Arbor

University of Virginia is good for political science, and just to add another ivy, Dartmouth.

If you plan on running for a local office in the future, i suggest you try to go somewhere in state. What state are you from?

I’m from South Carolina and going to the University of South Carolina next year and am majoring in Political Science.

If you are really interested in Politics, and want to really learn the practical side of governing, then how could Georgetown (or American, GW) with some internships on the hill ever be beat?
