Okay, I know there are millions of threads like this already, but my situation is kind of unique...
I'm 17 and from Scotland (I lived in the US for a few years when I was younger but I'm a British citizen), and I'm looking for something good to do this summer. I already have a provisional place at Cambridge to study Political Science next year, so I'm not necessarily looking for anything that will help me on a uni application. I do, however, want something serious. And not too expensive.
I thought about interning, but in the summer it's just too difficult, being younger and a non-U.S. citizen. I do have the possibility of interning in a district office, which I might take up.
I'm interested especially in Cornell Summer College, because I've been to summer camp there for the past 3 years, but it's slightly on the expensive side.
And I thought about things like LeadAmerica, but I hear they're not really all that serious.
So, does anyone have any ideas? It would be really, really helpful.
