'well said sheep dog, this nation is getting screwed up all these "enlightened people"'

Are you referring to:

"At the end of the day.............

Liberals FEEL

Conservatives THINK."

Oh yeah; that's absolutely brilliant. It's a Swiss #$%#ing watch if I understand him correctly. Apologies to "The Dude"; you know, from the "Big Lebowski".

And Raimius, you're absolutely correct. Good call.

At a risk of adding to the gross overgeneralizing and stereotyping that is running rampant in this thread, I will add to it. Both sides are correct, or incorrect, depending on how one looks at it. Having spent 24 years in the Navy and an additional 15 years in DOD construction, while my observations do not pass the scientific discovery litmus test, I feel they are somewhat correct. Both parties spend roughly an equal amount on the DOD budget. When the Republicans dominate, more is budgeted for new weapons and all those factors which determine readiness. When the Democrats are in, the focus is on infrastructure, new and renovated housing, quality of life, new buildings, etc. Bottom line, if either remained in power continually, the results would be disasterous.

Correction 69er ... WHEN either has remained in power, the results have been disastrous. Look at our social welfare system. Look @ Pittsburgh (aside from the Steelers.) So, we can all be thankful Jimmy C. was promoted to hammer head of Habitat after only a term, no matter where he went to school.

USNA69, Zap is correct, my son is a cadet and thanks for you're level headed post. As for marching, you don't have to be an expert to know the Navy boys don't know how; even a blind man could see it.

Zap, I think my son went to West Point because there's less discipline there than at home. My second son, now almost sixteen, is rapidly coming to the same conclusion.

"charrdonay has no carbs"

How can that be. It has fructose in it doesn't it?
