Political Views

^ in my book, conservative = republican 95% of the time. do you support gay marriage? do you support choice for abortion? do you favor policies that take a bit away from the rich and give to the middle class/poor?

You are assuming conservative = social conservative, but if you define "conservative" as supporting a limited government, there is nothing conservative about the Republican party's social policies. Small-government libertarianism could be said to be "pure" conservatism, but libertarian has no clear definition either (if you want 5 opinions, ask 4 libertarians).

Haha I'm apolitical which is why I decided not to start a political thread..

^You should come to my school. About 90% of the population is die-hard Republican. (They think that all Democrats want to take away their - hunting - guns. It's like talking to a bunch of rocks to say that the Democrats do have some good points). No diss meant on Republicans in general, though :)

I identify as Libertarian, but generally support Dem canidates in class discussions.

ANARCHIST!!! UP THE PUNXXXXXXXXX
jk

^bookworm,

I'm socially conservative and fiscally moderate. I am a human first, however, and am open to others' opinions. It is my opinion that die hard = stupid. I was die-hard at one time, and was an idiot for it...

I like a lot of democrats principles, but their methods of accomplishing their goals suck. If you want to clean out the ghetto, don't just give them free cash, use free market principals as guidelines to set up programs to develop economies in these poor areas. Their socialism sucks too. Too many people have the flawed opinion that some things are the responsibilities of society, not of individuals.

I'm gonna go with the Boston Tea Party

Yes i agree w/memphist0 and i majority hold "traditional" beliefs. But just because you are conservative doesn't mean you always support the rich and have no pity for the poor. Liberals can be the most hypocritical in this regard. I also believe in what's right not what's popular

^ yes, i do feel a bit stupid now. esp. since i don't completely know what i'm saying (and i admit it!) i just jumped on it a little too quickly.

so.. you would a conservative "undecided" type voter then? <-- screw it i don't know how to classify it..

Er...I'm like 67% Democrat, and that leftover 33% is really bothering me. Whatever, Obama FTW.
