Politically, which school has the best balance between liberals and conservatives?

<p>Again, the political views of Catholics closely match the political views of the population as a whole. I think there’s a sort of curve here when grading schools as “left” or “right” because your average university is liberal. Its much more likely schools like Vanderbilt and Notre Dame and Duke are moderate than are truly conservative.</p>

<p>Do you really think schools like Yale and Harvard and Stanford are going to be Conservative? I just don’t understand that. Young people as a whole are extremely liberal compared to the general population. The top Ivies are generally attracting kids of all races from all demographics, so you’d think the political views of the College would reflect the political views of youth.</p>

<p>Having a strong Conservative group does not make the school right-leaning. That requires a strong Conservative group and a weak Liberal one, and I can’t imagine too many Universities having that.</p>
