Is there a political emphasis of the students and professors at Yale? Is the Yale population generally more conservative or liberal? Does political belief of the general population have a large effect on life at the school?
Thanks!
Yale is a liberal leaning school but students with all views are welcome and free to express their views.
It’s what you make of it because it depends on your interests and who you hang out with. For example, if you are a very sciency person, you will likely not notice any of the political emphasis at all. There are so many groups and people with varied interests that it’s easy to find your niche. Don’t worry about not fitting in because you will in one way or another.
Yale is very open and liberal–people are very accepting of ideas.
