POLITICS/MARX on common app essay

okay so im not a marxist or even a socialist. I'm just someone whose been interested and reading marx's work from a purely academic point of view and trying to use that in context of recent happenings post 2008. I want to write about some of this from a creative sense but will colleges view it as too political and will it harm me?

You’ll be fine. Swing a dead cat on a college campus, and you will surely hit a Marxist. Just make sure the essay is mostly about you, unless the prompt says otherwise.

Thanks WasatchWriter. It’s for an open ended- write whatever you want- supplement. Thank you so much for your response

Hey WasatchWriter. Sorry to bother you again but would this still apply if I was applying to a Jesuit college like Georgetown?
