Politics! - States where you will not consider college

States or schools you will not consider due to the political environment of the state and schools that you will consider despite their location being politically problematic for you.

Also - as an aside - I think it would be so useful for colleges to know why parents/students aren’t applying to a particular school. Maybe by adding a question when people unsubscribe to emails for a school?

Useful tools to find issues that matter to your family:
States with high firearm fatalities: Stats of the States - Firearm Mortality

States with restrictive abortion laws (this has not been updated since yesterday’s Ohio vote protecting abortion access) Where is Abortion Illegal? | Abortion Limits by State

States with and without red flag laws (to restrict gun ownership for individuals of high risk - mental health or domestic violence, etc.) Extreme Risk Law | Everytown Research & Policy

States off our list and the specific schools that we removed from the shortlist for D25 - mostly due to reproductive rights hostility:
Texas (UT Austin)
Missouri (WashU)
Tennessee (Vanderbilt)
Indiana (Purdue)
North Carolina (Davidson - so sad about this one!!!)
