One of my college app essays essentially asks for views on three political topics (assuming politics because it asks what i'd advise the president to include in the blueprint for the US next year)

And honestly i'm not a very political person and i don't think i can write an essay on something i'm not proficient in.

Answer the question without regard for the political implications - nothing about will it pass or how much will it cost or where’s the money coming from. Just what you would like to see happen, in an ideal world.

ETA: And put in your essay that you’ve assumed that your ideas would pass and that funding could be found.

Thank you for the feedback! I’ll try, do you think if i write about environmental concerns and working conditions and some other one that i’ll be set?

i don’t feel comfortable writing an opinionated essay (anything political) so i didn’t know what to do. Will colleges judge if they’re looking for politics and i don’t write about it?
