As long as they're nice looking and stacked, brunettes, blondes, and redheads. :)

blones with blue eyes
brunetts with brown eyes
but hair must be straight!

Any color hair, as long as it's not bleached or dyed. I want to look at their face, not analyze their hair roots!

There's a book called (something like) "What is it about Blonde Hair?" that examined the obsession with blondes.

I'm naturally blonde but have recently started dyeing red. Most men that I've dated have disliked blonde hair. (In fact, I think I've been dumped for it, which is completely weird... I mean, this is an immediately apparent issue. No secrets there.) After a while, blonde jokes get old. They aren't really that funny, just degrading for no reason (much like Polish jokes).

hair color is totally inconsequential for me

Not all women who dye their hair blonde do it for male attention. That is true of the majority of middle schoolers/high school underclassmen who are very immature and think blonde hair will get them a boyfriend, but I think most mature women have better reasons.

Naturally, I have light brown hair with some blonde highlights. And naturally my hair is pretty boring. When I was younger I was blonde, but it darkened with age. I missed my blonde hair because it was much prettier looking than my boring shade of light brown, so I started to get highlights. At this point, it's gotten really light, especially with the summer, but most people think it's completely natural anyway. I just look better with lighter hair and wanted a change. It was all for me.

Additionally, one of my best friends is a dark brunette who is currently transitioning to blonde. Her reason? She felt she needed a major change in her life and is accomplishing it via a drastic change in hair color. Another instance where it was a change completely for herself.

Just wanted to put in my 2 cents that not everyone dyes their hair to attract/for the approval of the opposite sex.

"It is not the natural blonde that impresses this stereotype upon society, but the bottle-blonde through her desires to be socially sexy and impress males."

Funny that you say bottle-blondes color their hair to impress males because 90% of the guys who responded to "blondes vs brunettes" picked brunettes.

Personally, I believe any person who picks to date someone because of their hair color or to chooses not date someone because of their hair color has major, MAJOR issues.

I like Sandy-Brown the most :)

doesn't matter to me.. :P

brunettes .

Yet the American media seems to portray otherwise. That observation was not solely reserved for this thread and its results. American media portrays blondes as being "sexy". Look at Playboy for example.

Maybe, but who cares. Some people won't date people under a certain height for example...it's all about preference.

I like red hair,lol/

No, I don't believe the American media portrays blondes as being "sexy"..they portray them as being dumb, stupid, slutty, and easy. But I do find it funny when you say, "look at playboy" as if that proves the media thinks blonde=sexy. There are PLENTY of brunettes throughout the pages of that magazine...because the main focus is gasp not on the girls' hair color.. but rather on the OVERALL...ie, the face, body, length of hair, texture, skin tone, breasts, you get the idea. Which is why I find this link on "blondes vs brunettes" so amuzing because what most "normal" people find attractive has very little to do with hair color but rather the whole package.

It's not that people (usually) will refuse to date someone because of their hair color, it's just that they have a preference of one over the other. And just because you might generally prefer something doesn't mean that everyone you date or like will look like that. I prefer blond guys with blue eyes, but that hasn't stopped me from getting involved with a Latin guy who has black hair and brown eyes. One of my friends has a thing for curly brown hair, but her last boyfriend had straight blond hair, etc etc.

"It's not that people (usually) will refuse to date someone because of their hair color, it's just that they have a preference of one over the other."

Yes, I understand that. I was responding to, "my boyfriend literally loathes blondes." Having a preference is one thing, obviously everyone has a preference, but to dislike someone just for the color of their hair is silly. That was all I was trying to say.

Slutty, yes. Trashy, yes. Sometimes sexy.

The problem is, though, that there haven't been any sensual blondes since Miss Monroe. Renee Russo, Catherine Zeta-Jones and maybe Angelina Jolie would fit that bill. Blondes, unfortunately, are represented by Britney, Paris, and Pamela. Then there's Reese, but she's part of the "good girl" blonde brigade.

Brunettes are far more attractive and it's not even close..

Dark hair, blue eyes > all

can't beat tan blondes with big knockers for me...although one of these with a brain would be my ideal woman. but for hooking up the dumber the better.

i don't understand why everyone's saying brunettes. Doesn't it just depend on the entire look?? I'm a blonde and love it.
