Poll: Democrat or Republican

Mitt is good. Sarah Palin is strong and speaks her mind and means what she says. Too bad all politicians are not like her.

If the dems keep this up, any Rep will be elected esp Sarah Palin.

The decisions of Palin were questionable.
The comments she has made were poor.

Yeah, the outlook is good. I’m just waiting to see who all decides to run when I commit to a candidate. Sarah Palin is young, so 2012 doesn’t necessarily need to be her year.

“Thanks QWERTY but I’ve already been raped.”

That’s really unfortunate… But as long as we have the gun control we do, you have to expect it could happen again. Do what you can, learn to operate and carry a firearm.

Can someone who is a Republican actually tell me why they like Sarah Palin?

She wants what’s right for this country and knows what she’s doing. She’s looking out for you believe it or not. She’s fair and honest and her beliefs are in sync with mine. That’s why I like her.

-fiscally republican
-socially liberal, except with abortion because i’m pro-life
-libertarian but i’d most likely vote for a moderate dem or rep depending

i have many relatives [and one very close friend] who support Palin. I certainly don’t agree with her social policies nor her views, and whether or not she is intelligent [i wouldn’t go so far as some and say she’s not], she invariably appears ignorant and lacks the tact and compromise necessary to politics.

Qwerty, I was about 7 when it happened.

A gun could not have helped me.

^^^Nice commentary, no substance.

Sarah Palin has the right ideas and the motivation. A president doesn’t have to be a genius, that is why they have a cabinet.

Pro-life is definitely right. The only thing is I am a man, so I guess my opinion does not matter. But I don’t how anyone could support abortion. You’re killing someone. Period.

^^Did you really just say that?

Sort of. The Republicans still tend to favor business and industry, while the Democrats still tend to favor labor and the poor. Also the Republicans are still more likely to take a hard line on moral issues. However, they have flipped positions on the issue of individual and states’ rights vs social justice and federal control, and recently the Republicans have become the more rural party while the Democrats have become more urban, which is the opposite of what it was for the 200 years before.

Except in the archaic sense of a Royal Fool, or clown.

I think he’s got some good points, and is entertaining, but he’s certainly not the model of reasoned persuasion…

Actually, I haven’t watched him since the healthcare battle, so I don’t know what he’s like lately…

Or a Muslim. Or a chicken. Or a tree.

Republicans don’t stand for freedom: Nobody in Washington does.

I only support the Republicans Because I think they will do less damage than the Democrats, and because of the abortion issue (which many Republicans aren’t really on my side of now anyway…)

@Romani It may not have been able to help you but it could help tons of other victims.

“A president doesn’t have to be a genius,”

Hmmm… Okay, great, thanks. I think I prefer a genius, or someone at least smart.

^Then you should move to another country. Because our genius president ratio isn’t that good, especially recently.

Obama is very smart and very well educated. But that isn’t helping his poll numbers.

In general i’m not in favor of stricter gun control laws. criminals almost never get their guns legally, so it’s really just taking guns out of law-abiding citizens’ hands. That said, if there was a reasonable way to get guns out of criminals’ hands, i wouldn’t mind it. European countries generally have very strict gun control laws, but then again they’re criminals don’t usually have guns either.

well, i would rather have a common sense smart president, rather than some Harvard intellectual.

“I’d rather entrust the government of the United States to the first 400 people listed in the Boston telephone directory than to the faculty of Harvard.”-William F. Buckley

^^^^That means we fix it by electing someone smart, not give up.

bangs head

Regardless, I’d say Obama is reasonably smart. You might want a smarter president, but he’s no dummy.
